Dysart et al Statistics

In 2021, the permanent population of Dysart et al grew 14.4% from the previous census, with a count of 7,182 people. There are 7,298 private dwellings which comprise a mix of permanent and seasonal residents. Each year, we see more and more seasonal residents increasing the amount of time they spend in the area, even if it means taking longer weekends regularly, which has a positive impact on our economy overall.

Telecommunications Infrastructure

Efforts to enhance internet and cell infrastructure continue to be important to local government, and initiatives and funding are constantly being reviewed. The County of Haliburton provides current information on community projects including efforts made through the Eastern Ontario Regional Network.

Free Public WiFi is available in several locations throughout Dysart et al.

Industrial Park

The Haliburton Industrial Park is located at County Road 21 and Industrial Park Road in Haliburton. If you are interested in developing a business in the Industrial Park, please get in touch. Council will be considering expansion in the future based on community need.

Cannabis Retail Policy

Dysart allows cannabis retail stores in our municipality subject to AGCO licensing. Any cannabis retail business should follow the AGCO guidelines for sensitive proximity to schools and parks.
