Volunteering

We need your help!

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and to learn new skills.  Within the Municipality of Dysart et al there are many ways in which you can volunteer.  If you have a few hours to spare once a year or a few hours each week, we can use your help.

Staff are able to sign off on the volunteer hour sheets for high school students.

Volunteer coaches

If you are interested in coaching a ball hockey team, please contact Andrea Mueller at 705-457-1740 x.635 or amueller@dysartetal.ca. The ball hockey program is a 6 week program that starts at the end of April or beginning of May.

Special events

Volunteers help make festivals and events successful.  If you are interested in helping out at an event please contact Andrew Mueller at 705-457-1740 x. 635 or amueller@dysartetal.ca.  Help is needed prior to and during events. 

Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:

• being part of the planning committee
• leading/organizing an activity
• parking attendants
• photographers
• checking people in
• working an information booth
• helping with an activity (i.e. dogsledding at the Frost Festival, scarecrow building contest at ColourFest)
• and much, much more.

The time commitment can range from one hour to many days, depending on how much time you would like to offer.
