Notice to Amend Fee By-Laws

Communal Sewage Services

Dysart et al Council, at their March 14, 2023 meeting, will be considering changes to By-Law 2022-25, being a by-law to impose fees and charges for the provision of Communal Sewage Services. This amendment will increase the Equivalent Residential Units (ERU) user fee from $690 per ERU to $746 per ERU and the metered Sewage Service Rate from $34.66 per 1,000 gallons to $37.46 per 1,000 gallons effective April 1, 2023.

Parks and Recreation and Waste Management Fees

Dysart et al Council, at their March 28, 2023 meeting, will be considering changes to By-Law 2022-64, being a by-law to impose fees and charges. This amendment will include the following updates:

A.J. LaRue Arena and Community Centre:

Arena Winter Ice Rentals – Minor Hockey & Skating Club: Current $82.40 per hour; updated $84.85 per hour

Arena Winter Ice Rentals – School: Current $87.55 per hour; updated $90.20 per hour

Arena Winter Ice Rentals – Weekdays after 4 pm; weekends and holidays including Christmas break and March break: Current $113 per hour; updated $116.40 per hour

Arena Winter Ice Rentals – Weekdays 8am – 4pm (excluding holidays): Current $77.25 per hour; updated $79.55 per hour

Arena Winter Ice Rentals – Tournament rate for all age groups: Current $128.75 per hour for adult tournaments; updated $128.75 per hour for all age groups

Birthday Party (Winter Ice Rental): Current $113.00; updated $116.40

Arena Summer Ice Rentals – Minor Hockey & Skating Club (from the start of ice rental season, up to and including Labour Day): Current $97.00 per hour; updated $145.50 per hour

Arena Summer Ice Rentals – Other, Hockey School (from start of ice rental season, up to and including Labour Day): Current $200.00 per hour; updated $220.00

Arena Summer Ice Rentals – Tournament Rate: Current $175.00 per hour; updated $210.00 per hour

Ball hockey: Current $40.00 per hour; updated $50.00 per hour

Ice Surface Rental: Current $450.00 per day; updated: $463.50 per day for non-profit organizations; or Current $1000.00; updated $1030.00 per day for profit making events

Community Centre – Auditorium Rental: Current $41.20 per hour maximum of $257.50 per day; updated $42.45 per hour, maximum of $265.25 per day

Community Centre – Auditorium Rental for Minor Hockey, Figure Skating and Adult Hockey Tournaments when the rental includes a minimum of 4 hours ice rental per day: Current $41.20 per hour maximum of $103.00 per day; updated $42.45 per hour, maximum of $106.10 per day

Community Centre – Auditorium set up and dismantling fee involving staff: Current $25.00 per hour; updated $30.00 per hour

Arena Board Signage Rental – Large (3’ x 8): Current $350 for installation $200 annual rental fee; updated $350 for installation $500 annual rental fee (prime location) $250 annual rental fee for non-prime location

Arena Board Signage Rental – Small (3’ x 4’): Current $100 for installation $250 annual renal fee for prime location; updated $200 for installation, $250 annual rental fee for prime location, $125 annual rental fee for non-prime time location

Waste Disposal:

Furniture: Current $10 / item; updated $20 / item

Construction, demolition waste, shingles: Current $60 / cubic yard; updated $100 / cubic yard
